There will be a fully fledged ranked system which will include some sort of leaderboard system. Temtem is very much an MMO, just not a complete one. It is not against Steam's Guidelines to sell or tout a game in early access without all if it's planned features. Held items, and achievements are not a requirement. I'm also not saying this shouldn't be added. Runescape went 3-4 years without a auctionhouse and it worked totally fine. Not every MMO is competitive, although people going for world firsts tend to make competitive, however there is an argument to be made that trading RN is a degree competitive. "But what about ACT/FFLOGS?" not officially supported and requires third party, grey (now seemingly black) area software to even do it. An example of this is FF14, where there is no leaderboards for the core gameplay style of the game. Leaderboards are not a requirement to be an MMO. The point of me bringing this up, is for constructive conversation of how the populous is feeling, and for good constructive conversation on where the game CURRENTLY is, NOT about what MAY/WILL be. "They're planning on X, Y, Z" well, that's against steam guidelines to sell or tout a game on 'soon to come' keep the discussion on what is. Now, I can see where this is going to try and go. There's something off in this grind equation, that feels rather meh if that IS the standpoint. As it doesn't feel rewarding, or satisfactory. Having high end tem tem doesn't feel really great. If your arguement for gear is 7sv, or lumas, you don't get multiple thunderfuries in 2 weeks of play time, playing solo. Core economy (auction house, not a loose discord for trades) I had this discussion (in a somewhat passionate fashion) with a few other players on stream the other day.Īnd, really, am I the only one that doesn't feel like this is an MMO?
